We at Phi Partners are currently recruiting our next batch of Sales Research Associates to boost our internal resourcing function and focus on recruitment of technology consultants that will be working on a variety of projects across a range of Tier-1 investment banks, asset managers, and hedge funds such as JP Morgan Chase, BlackRock, RBC, and Nomura.

With the ongoing perspective of growth in the market and increasing volume of existing client demand, as well as new logo clients, this represents a unique opportunity to become a specialized IT recruiter within the Financial and Capital Markets Industry. The role will encourage you to take ownership of company-wide strategic initiatives, proactively drive internal recruitment strategies and earn commissions from day-1.

About the role

Specifically, the role will involve:

  • Supporting the sales team with the internal recruitment of talent within the Treasury Capital Markets IT sector;
  • Execution of Tactical and Strategic recruitment practices within one or more lines of business (LOBs);
  • Candidate management through the hiring cycle (client brief, resourcing and engaging with candidates, assessing their skill-set up to delivery);
  • Maintaining and further developing candidate and consultant’s network within the dedicated LOBs;
  • Commercial research on client technology use cases;
  • Support to new business development & sales functions.

This will enable the SRA to master a market from a resourcing and business development perspectives. Pursuing these lines of business will provide exposure to decision-makers in some of the top financial institutions around the world including Tier-1 Investment Banks, Development Banks, Asset Managers and Hedge Funds.

The ideal candidate

Phi Partners are looking for talented and motivated individuals keen to start a career in recruitment, with the objective of progressing into sales across one or more LOBs.

The ideal candidate for the Sales Research Associate position will have the following skillset:

  • Hard-working and driven problem solver with a university degree (ideally a Masters);
  • Minimum of one-year of relevant experience or an internship in the capital markets consultancy or technology industry (recruitment or sales roles would be a plus);
  • Driven, confident and assertive with an ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment;
  • Impeccable verbal and written presentation and communication skills to engage with C-level associates within Phi Partners and candidates;
  • Strong attention to detail and organization skills;
  • Excellent emotional intelligence skills;
  • Resilience and stamina to progress through the various stages of career development in a highly challenging and competitive environment;
  • Time management and multi-tasking skills to cope with the diverse set of tasks;
  • Any command of an additional language at professional/native level is a plus but an excellent command of the English language is the only essential language requirement.
Location details

The primary place of work is Wrotham Business Park, Barnet, located on a historic country estate on the outskirts of North London.

Wrotham Park is surrounded by 300 acres of parkland and lakes. The estate has been used to film Bridgerton, Vanity Fair, Agatha Christie’s Poirot and the Kingsman film series https://www.wrothampark.com/.

The office location features on-site parking and we encourage relocation in proximity of place of work to reduce the burden of a long commute.

Working hours are Monday – Friday from 7:30AM – 5:30PM.

There will be regular trips to the City of London and abroad for meetings where appropriate.

Role and Salary details

The role reports into the Head of Research for Phi Partners.

Competitive fixed salary + commission (OTE £50k)
